Hi there, I am Niharika Dutta, a passionate techie, dancer, and skin care enthusiast, currently based out of Seattle!
I grew up in different cities across India, as my parents moved around. I spent a lot of my childhood reading (nerd-alert) and staying away from puddles. Always fascinated by technology, I pursued my Bachelor’s in Computer Science from Thapar University before working for Samsung India. In an attempt to pursue my dreams to make it big in tech, I moved to the US in 2016 and pursued my Master’s in CS at Arizona State University.
Moving to the US was the most challenging (both mentally and financially) decision of my life, and also the most impactful. It not only introduced me to the latest in the world of CS, but also gave me an opportunity to work at companies such as WePay and Microsoft (where I currently work). Like most, I am still trying to find my calling in this vast and fast-paced tech world, but I am grateful to have worked with some of the smartest minds in the cloud-tech and big data domains. As for what’s next, I am hooked to what’s happening in the climate-tech space, and hopefully, I will find a way to do my bit there.
Personally, I am a low-key ambivert who likes people and solitude in equal parts. I thrive on deep conversations around society, people, politics, life and just anything that provokes thought. I love watching movies (especially anime), and dancing is food for my soul. I never skip my skin-care routine, even when I am running late! Oh yes, I love to read too – when I don’t have to meet crazy deadlines, of course.
